Extended Stay
- If your surgeon has scheduled you for Extended Stay, it means that he/she has decided that your recovery time be extended so that our experienced nursing staff can maximize your comfort by following your surgeon’s specific protocols. Our Extended Stay Nurses are highly trained , certified in Advance Cardiac Life Support, and specialize in providing around the clock care. Before going home, specific discharge criteria must be met, specifically the management of your post-surgical pain. Intravenous (IV) pain management can be one of the most effective means of achieving adequate pain control, and as an Extended Stay Patient, this option will be available until you no longer require it.
- Facility/Environment: Our outpatient surgery center is designed much like the hospital setting, utilizing state-of-the-art hospital beds, monitors, and other equipment which are designed to keep you comfortable and safe in an environment that is conducive to healing.
- Discharge time varies, during your Preop Phone Call the nurse will inform you of your discharge time
- You are typically on a liquid or soft diet after your procedure
- Unfortunately there are no visitors during your stay with us
- Patient Pickup Door is Located on the far left side of the main entrance to the building
